  • Do they communicate the essence of what it is about?

  • Is the essence of what is special or unique about it offerings clear?
  • Can people appreciate why change is needed?
  • Do they understand what they can do to help?
  • Can they quickly access the support they will need?
  • Do your communications build understanding?
  • Do they help to develop more intimate and mutually beneficial relationships?
  • Are there benefits for their recipients as well as your organisation?
  • How can you secure greater involvement and re-establish trust?
  • Could you help ordinary people to excel?

This webinar will look at how new forms of support can be a vehicle for communication, building understanding and engagement. Their ability to share good practice and incorporate social networking can aid the communication and participation that is conducive of effective change. It will draw upon sections of two new reports: Talent Management 2, a quicker and more cost effective route to the high performance organisation and Transforming Public Services, a quicker and affordable route to high performance public organisations.

Colin will show how understanding can be increased and a new approach could support more consistent and effective communications with a range of stakeholders. He will draw upon findings relating to communication and engagement that are summarised in two new research reports: one on a more affordable approach to talent management and a quicker way of creating high performance organisations; and the second on transforming public services and a quicker and more affordable route to creating high performance public organisations.

The flexibility of what will be proposed can allow it to ‘live’ and stay current and relevant in an evolving situation by means of automatic updates where delivery is via the internet, a laptop, palmtop, tablet device or mobile phone. People can be supported 24/7 whenever and wherever they need help.

Today’s organisations need ways of communicating and engaging that can work with existing people and cultures and simultaneously deliver multiple objectives. If the recommended approach is adopted ‘top down’ transformation programmes, efforts to change corporate cultures and the internal communications streams found within many ‘management of change’ programmes may no longer be required.
